Have you ever watched a sex scene in a movie and it left you breathless.  Left you wonder and awoke all your sexual fantasies.  Did you know why movie sex scenes are just so absolutely sexy? 

 It’s because it is acting; there is a sense of “these aren’t real people, but they can be real people” and guess what, the normal John can get the same feeling with just a little role-playing.

Many of us have sexual fantasies in which we take on different personas.  Some of the most common role-play scenarios, include the teacher/student, doctor/patient, john/prostitute, and patron/stripper roles.  The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

Before you get started with role playing, you and your partner should discuss how it will all go down.  This can be a bit awkward if you are not used to talk about sex or expressing your sexual fantasies with your partner.  Discuss who will be playing which role, are you going to use a script or using your imagination?  Are there any scenarios that are off limits? Costumes, wigs, masks and stockings are amongst the most common props used in role playing.  Are you going to include sex toys?  Keep your toys in a box or bedside table so they are ready for play and you don’t have to search around for them. 

Remember there is no right or wrong and you and your partner are in control.  It might feel sort of silly if you’re not used to it, and that’s completely normal.  It’s a different and new experience and it will take time to get used to being that way with your partner.  Allow yourself to laugh and have fun.  Happy roleplaying!
